Responsibilities
- Ensure residents’ nursing and medical needs are consistently met by overseeing daily clinical operations and supporting the nursing team in delivering safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.
- Cook
- Coordinate and manage the Infection Control Program, including monitoring infection trends, implementing prevention measures, conducting staff education, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide ongoing staff education and training, developing and delivering in-services to enhance clinical skills, ensure compliance with facility policies, and promote best practices in resident care.
- Aid with regulatory compliance and quality assurance, ensuring all nursing practices align with state, federal, and facility guidelines while fostering accountability and teamwork among staff.
- Coordinate and direct the planning and delivery of nursing services, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration between departments to achieve the highest standards of resident outcomes.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice, applying sound clinical judgment and evidence-based care in all aspects of nursing leadership.
- Oversee documentation and medical record management, ensuring all resident assessments, treatments, and care plans are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with regulations.
- Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new nursing staff, ensuring new team members receive thorough orientation and are supported for success.
- Manage and monitor daily staffing levels, making adjustments as needed to ensure appropriate coverage, balance workloads, and maintain quality resident care.
- Foster a positive and flexible work environment, maintaining adaptability in your schedule to meet the evolving needs of residents, staff, and the facility.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to identify areas for improvement, support team development, and promote a culture of compassion, accountability, and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in State.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Long-Term Care.
- 2 years of management experience preferred.
- 1 year of staff education experience preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Prioritization of proven ability to supervise, motivate, and mentor team members.
