RN Assistant Director of Nursing

About the role

The Assistant Director of Nursing at NHC HealthCare Charleston is responsible for overseeing the nursing services in a family-oriented environment. This role requires excellent time management, superior organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and an understanding of Long-Term Care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a system to ensure knowledge of patient status (e.g., making daily rounds of all patients).
• Monitors treatments and medications to ensure they are administered as ordered.
• Plans and directs nursing services within an interdisciplinary team environment.
• Communicates effectively with the medical/health care community, patients, and families.

Requirements

• South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Superior communication skills and leadership abilities.
• Flexibility, compassion, and teamwork.
• Prior experience in Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred.

Qualifications

• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Able to educate patients and families from various backgrounds.
