WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for an immediate opportunity in a busy ambulatory surgical setting in Westchester County. This role offers a consistent daytime schedule with no evenings and the flexibility of either 8-hour or 10-hour shifts. The position is four days per week.Responsibilities Document patient care accurately, thoroughly, and promptly within the facility's electronic medical record (EMR) system. Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures and assist with room turnover between cases. Assist with patient positioning and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the perioperative process. Maintain proper handling, labeling, and documentation of surgical specimens. Communicate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care. Identify and implement corrective actions when necessary to support patient safety and operational efficiency. Adhere to all infection control, regulatory, and facility policies and procedures.Requirements Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Minimum of one year of Operating Room nursing experience required. Experience in an acute care hospital or ambulatory surgery setting preferred. Experience with Centricity EMR preferred. Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications Experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and/or Pediatrics. Ambulatory surgery center experience.
