RN - Ambulatory OR

About the role

We are seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a dynamic ambulatory surgical setting.

Responsibilities

• Accurate documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Preparation of operating rooms and assistance with room turnover
• Patient positioning, ensuring comfort and safety during perioperative care
• Handling and documenting surgical specimens appropriately
• Effective communication with physicians and team members to ensure quality care
• Implementing corrective actions to support patient safety and operational efficiency
• Following infection control, regulatory, and facility policies

Requirements

• Active NY RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least one year of OR nursing experience
• Experience in acute care or ambulatory surgery preferred
• Proficiency with EMR systems like Centricity preferred
• Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, or Pediatrics
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively
