About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Sanford Health is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients. This includes coordinating care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. The role collaborates with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, and plan care for patients.
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient support.
- Implement care plans and educate patients and families on managing their health conditions.
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement treatment plans.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.
- Currently hold an unencumbered RN license in the state where the practice of nursing is occurring.
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
- Maintain required department-specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Competency in the full scope of nursing expertise and knowledge.
- Knowledge of age and population-specific standards relevant to the assigned clinical setting.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in using medical software and electronic health records.

Pay
$29.50 - $44.50 per hour
Schedule
Full time, 8 Hours - Day Shifts, Monday - Friday 8:00a-5:00pm; no weekends or holidays required.
