Location: CHA One Cabot Care Center, Somerville – part of Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a leader in Primary Care serving a highly diverse population across the Boston metro-north region. CHA provides care at 13 primary care centers, 3 teen health centers, via telehealth, and in patient homes, delivering over 300,000 annual visits to more than 120,000 patients.

About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care in accordance with established Nursing Standards of Care. You will demonstrate initiative, knowledge, and clinical skills in caring for patients with complex needs, managing the full spectrum of nursing care—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—in a team-based primary care setting.

Primary care at CHA integrates internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and women’s health with behavioral health, pharmacy, complex care, and multilingual interpreter services. CHA is also a teaching hospital, hosting Harvard Internal Medicine and Tufts Family Medicine residencies.

Newly hired full-time RNs with experience in the specialty who commit to a minimum of two years at CHA may be eligible for a $10,000 sign-on and retention bonus. Part-time employees may qualify for a prorated retention bonus. Contact your HR Advisor for details.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, provide, and evaluate nursing care for patients in an ambulatory primary care setting.
  • Assume full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, including behavioral health, pharmacy, complex care, and interpreter services.
  • Deliver care across the lifespan, with pediatric and OB/GYN experience required for family practice sites.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Current or conditional Massachusetts RN licensure.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Minimum of two years of current ambulatory nursing experience.
  • Pediatric and OB/GYN experience required for family practice sites.
  • Ability to speak a second language preferred.
