About the Role

The RN-Administrative Supervisor provides leadership and direction for the entire nursing department during their assigned shift. This role demonstrates expertise through innovative problem-solving in clinical practice, acting as a leader and change agent to improve nursing practice and quality patient care. The supervisor is responsible for administrative issues and daily facility maintenance, facilitating the smooth delivery of patient care. They function independently and adhere to professional standards, demonstrating professional accountability.

The RN-Administrative Supervisor will act as Incident Commander designee when the disaster plan is activated until a senior administrative person is available to assume responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the nursing department during assigned shifts.
  • Demonstrate expertise in clinical practice through innovative problem-solving.
  • Act as a leader and change agent to improve nursing practice and quality patient care.
  • Handle administrative issues and daily facility maintenance.
  • Facilitate the smooth delivery of patient care on the assigned shift.
  • Function independently while adhering to professional standards.
  • Serve as Incident Commander designee during disaster plan activation until relieved by senior administration.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing (Required).
  • 3 years of nursing experience in Psychiatry (Required).
  • 1 year of nursing leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager (Required).
  • Active RN license from the California Board of Nursing (Required).
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association (Required).
  • CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (Required within 30 days of hire and renewed annually or within 30 days of return from leave).
  • Specialty Certification (Preferred).

Pay

Hourly pay range: $94.86 - $142.30. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Schedule

  • Work shift: 07:00 - 19:30 (12-hour shift).
  • Days worked: 4 shifts in a 2-week period.
  • Scheduled weekly hours: 24.
