About the role
The RN-Administrative Supervisor provides leadership and direction for the entire nursing department during the shift to which he/she is assigned. Expertise is demonstrated through innovative problem solving in clinical practice. The RN-Administrative Supervisor is a leader and change agent in the pursuit of improved nursing practice and quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction for the entire nursing department during the shift to which he/she is assigned.
- Demonstrates expertise through innovative problem solving in clinical practice.
- Functions as a leader and change agent in improving nursing practice and quality patient care.
- Acts as Incident Commander designee when the disaster plan is activated until a senior administrative person is available to assume responsibility.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- 3 years Nursing - Psychiatry
- 1 year Nursing - Leadership as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Manager
- RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training - Required within 30-days of hire and renewal annually or within 30-days of return from a leave of absence

- Experience: 3 years Nursing - Psychiatry
- Experience: 1 year Nursing - Leadership as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Manager
