RN - Administrative Nurse Supervisor Per Diem

About the role

Provides leadership in nursing care delivery, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with policies, laws, and regulations. Supports hospital and department goals, manages patient flow, and assesses staffing needs to maintain quality care.

Responsibilities

• Communicates organizational vision and supports nursing staff development.
• Assists with staff orientation, education, and integration.
• Coordinates patient placement, prioritizes bed assignments, and facilitates policy implementation.
• Supports staffing decisions based on patient acuity and census, while fostering positive guest relations.
• Serves as a clinical resource, evaluates quality of care, and addresses patient and family concerns.
• Ensures proper documentation, investigates adverse events, and follows up on sentinel events.
• Promotes evidence-based practice, innovation, and improvements in patient care.
• Addresses employee grievances and collaborates with management and education teams.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or graduation from a Bachelor’s or Specialty Nursing program.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support a Magnet culture, promote safety, and foster team collaboration.
