About the Role

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

This role is in the Acute Rehab Unit (ARU or Inpatient Rehab) at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO. We provide comprehensive collaborative care to all adult and adult geriatric patients with neurological and other medical conditions of recent onset or regression who have experienced loss of functions in activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, or communication. Frequent diagnoses include CVA, brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, hip fracture, joint replacement, and other neurological syndromes.

Requirements

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire)

Pay

Premium Night Shift Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for Graduate Nurses, $13,000 for Experienced Nurses.
