About the Role
This position involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient Behavioral Health unit, supporting a multidisciplinary team with a focus on safety, wellness, and evidence-based practice. The role requires flexibility and cross-training in acute care settings, primarily during night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Deliver top-of-scope nursing care utilizing the nursing process
- Collaborate with team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Precept and mentor new healthcare staff
- Prioritize patient safety, wellness, and quality at the point of care
- Provide care in specialty acute care units with moderate to high patient acuity
- Support inpatient behavioral health care and cross-train in acute care units
- Contribute to a safe, evidence-based, team-oriented environment
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (if less than 3 years' experience)
- Valid RN licensure and at least 6 months of nursing experience
- BLS certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross
