RN - 5W, Hematology/Oncology

About the role

Nemours is seeking a Full time Nurse -0.75 FTE (60 hours per pay period) Registered Nurse for our 5 West Hematology/Oncology/Transplant and Cellular Therapy Unit in Wilmington, DE.

Responsibilities

• Work a 60-hour schedule in a 6-week cycle, with the option to work additional hours.
• Work 12-hour night shifts.
• Meet every third weekend requirement.
• Flexibility to work other units and hematology/oncology clinic as per unit rotation guidelines.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Eligible for Delaware State license (or compact license).
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification required.
• PALS certification required to obtain within a year of hire.

Qualifications

• Competent in the care of the newly diagnosed endocrine patient, and hematology, oncology, pre-, peri-, and post- transplant and cellular therapy patient including the administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy.
• Maintain or achieve specialty certifications: CPON (Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse), or CPHON (Certified Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse).

• Knowledge of pediatric hematology, oncology, and transplant care.
