RN - Hematology & Oncology Clinic

About the role

We're seeking a leader in the provision of patient care utilizing the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. You'll effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, taking full responsibility for quality patient outcomes. You'll exhibit sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions and maintain involvement in activities aimed at achieving unit and departmental goals.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Achieves learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for diverse patient groups.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly.
• Serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Adapts behavior to specific patient populations, including respecting privacy, explaining services, and communicating effectively.

Requirements

• Registered nursing diploma.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Work experience not required.
• Preferred: Experience directly supervising or managing others.

Qualifications

• Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Possession of certification in clinical specialty area preferred.
