Join the 4G Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, a proud member of Mass General Brigham. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking to build upon their acute care experience while gaining exposure to a diverse patient population and advanced cardiac monitoring and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Absorb and interpret the plan of care, providing individualized nursing care
• Modify treatment plans based on patient responses and clinical status
• Accurately screen and triage acute patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and effectively
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records
• Document medical information, assessments, and vital signs
• Communicate changes in patient condition
• Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Support a team-based approach to delivering exceptional patient care

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification preferred
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification preferred
• Experience in lieu of degree: No
• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Qualifications

• Knowledge of nursing principles and clinical skills necessary to provide patient care and treatment
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care needs for assigned populations
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to accurately assess, screen, and triage acute patients
• Effective critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
