About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatrics team. This role will primarily support pediatric patient care through immunization administration and telephone triage in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer routine and age-appropriate pediatric immunizations
- Perform telephone triage and assess patient symptoms, concerns, and care needs
- Provide nursing guidance and patient/family education via telephone and in-person interactions
- Monitor and document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
- Support pediatric clinic operations and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care
- Educate patients and families regarding immunizations, treatment plans, and follow-up care
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and infection prevention standards
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience administering immunizations
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Effective documentation and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pediatric telephone triage experience
- Extensive pediatric immunization administration experience
- Experience working in an outpatient pediatric practice
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling available up to 40 hours per week
- Shift options may include 6-hour, 8-hour, or 10-hour shifts
- Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:15 PM
- Optional weekend shifts available in Pediatric Urgent Care (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Work Environment
- Outpatient Pediatric Practice
- Professional attire required
- No travel required
- No work performed in patient homes
- Work conducted at a single location
