Risk Strategist, Platform Risk Strategy

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually

About the role

This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Compliance, Product, and Financial Partnerships teams
• Evaluate and develop frameworks for emerging industry use cases
• Conduct research to assess and strategize the company’s risk performance
• Challenge existing paradigms with alternative solutions
• Represent the company in engagements with critical partners and users
• Lead and execute special projects and ad hoc analyses

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Financial Services, Payments, or FinTech
• Knowledge of banking regulations like KYC/KYB, AML, OFAC compliance
• Experience in risk, compliance, legal, or consulting roles
• Expertise in developing risk strategies and solutions
• Strong ability to simplify complex regulatory issues for stakeholders
• Proficient in stakeholder management and influencing teams
