Risk Services Consultant II – NJ / NY + 5 NYC Boroughs

About the role

The Risk Services Consultant II – NJ / NY + 5 NYC Boroughs position at Philadelphia Insurance Companies is designed for someone with a bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, or a related field, with seven to fifteen years of relevant experience. Designations such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or ARM (Associate in Risk Management) are preferred. The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and be willing to travel within the designated territory.

Responsibilities

• Performs risk analysis studies to ensure maximum protection of an organization's assets.
• Delivers risk management and loss prevention programs in a given product area.
• Conducts loss control surveys, analysis, and recommendations for complex risks in a given product area.
• Communicates with agents, insureds, and underwriters about specific risks and trends in loss prevention issues in a given product area.
• Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge of safety legislation and regulation as well as current loss experiences for a given product area.
• Aids in training new staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• Seven to Fifteen years previous related experience.
• Designations such as CSP or ARM are preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Necessary travel within the territory, including Central & Northern New Jersey, New York City + NYC 5 Boroughs.
