Essential Functions
Conducts various risk investigations, including incidents, adverse events and complaints; prepares reports on findings to Risk Management.
Affords assistance with providing Risk Management services to hospital and clinical departments.
Reviews and processes legal requests to ensure HIPAA compliance and records prior to release.
Reviews medical records and documentation for potential risk issues.
Maintains working knowledge of the Shield reporting system for hospital and clinic incidents.
Participates in multi-disciplinary meetings.
Researches and reports on patient issues; creates detailed medical summaries.
Attends hospital, clinical, and/or campus meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required.
