About the role

The Fraud Prevention and Detection Team Lead oversees the organization's efforts in identifying, preventing, and mitigating fraudulent activities. This leadership position requires operational expertise in fraud detection techniques, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The role involves developing and implementing effective strategies to reduce organizational risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support fraud prevention and detection initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborate with various teams to develop and refine fraud detection strategies and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify potential fraudulent activities and patterns.
  • Ensure timely filing of government reports such as those required by the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Manage customer notifications related to Reg CC Hold Letters, Reg E, and customer complaints.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to enhance fraud detection effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on fraud prevention processes and compliance standards.
  • Perform regular audits and reviews of fraud detection systems and procedures.
  • Stay informed about emerging fraud trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of fraud incidents and prevention measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Fraud Services or equivalent experience in bank operations.
  • Strong understanding of fraud prevention techniques, data analysis, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and identify suspicious activities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with government reporting requirements related to financial crimes.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing fraud mitigation strategies.
  • Availability to work remotely with a reliable internet connection.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Pay

$50.00 – $56.00 hourly.

Schedule

This is a fully remote role and can be performed from an approved location.
