Why join Archa Archa is redesigning the way that companies use financial systems to grow their business and empower their teams. For too long, finance teams have been stuck managing corporate spend with tools designed for a different era – shared credit cards, missing receipts, manual expense reports and endless reconciliation. Archa is changing that. We’re a Melbourne-based fintech disrupting the outdated corporate credit card model and offering companies an all-in-one corporate card and spend management solution, better designed to help companies and their teams operate efficiently. We combine payments, expense management and software to give businesses greater control and visibility over how they spend. As Archa continues to grow, we’re looking for a Risk & Compliance Specialist to join our team and help embed strong risk and compliance practices into how we operate every day. The role This is a hands-on role at the centre of Archa’s day-to-day risk and compliance operations, with a particular focus on AML/CTF, fraud and operational compliance. You’ll help translate regulatory requirements and policies into practical processes and controls, monitor how those controls are operating, and work closely with teams across Operations and the broader business to identify and resolve issues. We’re looking for someone who has built a strong foundation in financial services compliance and wants the opportunity to take on significantly more ownership. You won’t need to arrive knowing everything, but you’ll need to be curious, commercially minded and comfortable figuring things out in a fast-moving environment. What You’ll Do Support the day-to-day operation of Archa’s AML/CTF program, including customer due diligence, ongoing monitoring, escalations and compliance activities.Help manage Archa’s compliance calendar, ensuring recurring regulatory and compliance obligations are completed accurately and on time.Monitor and operate key risk and compliance controls, identifying gaps and working with the business to resolve them.Support fraud risk management, including monitoring emerging trends, reviewing fraud rules and working with internal teams and external partners to improve our controls.Help translate policies and regulatory requirements into practical processes that teams can understand and follow.Support incident identification, investigation, documentation and remediation, including root-cause analysis where appropriate.Conduct Quality Assurance and control testing to ensure processes are operating as intended and identify opportunities for improvement.Maintain accurate risk and compliance records, registers and supporting documentation.Assist with regulatory reporting, internal reporting and preparation of materials for risk and compliance governance.Work closely with Operations and other teams to embed risk and compliance into new and existing processes.Support the ongoing uplift of Archa’s risk and compliance environment as our products, customers and business continue to scale. About You You’re a critical thinker who enjoys understanding why a requirement exists, not just following a checklist. You can read a piece of regulation or policy, understand what it is trying to achieve and think practically about how it should apply within a growing technology business. You’re comfortable getting into the detail and doing the work yourself, but you’re also interested in understanding the broader business and developing your judgement over time. Most importantly, you have an ownership mindset. Archa is building and evolving, so you’ll be comfortable creating structure where it doesn’t yet exist, challenging existing ways of doing things and moving quickly when priorities change. What We’re Looking For 3-5 years of experience in compliance, financial crime, risk or a related role within financial services.Practical experience with AML/CTF compliance is essential.Experience as a Compliance Analyst, Risk & Compliance Analyst, Financial Crime Analyst or similar would be well suited to the role.Strong critical thinking skills and an ability to interpret regulatory requirements and apply them practically.Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to execution.Clear written and verbal communication skills, confidence to work across teams. An ability to balance strong risk management with the commercial realities of a growing business.Comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking ownership without needing every process to already be defined. Experience in fintech, payments, card issuing or another high-growth environment would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential. Working at Archa Archa is a hard-working, collaborative and ambitious team. We challenge the status quo, move quickly and take ownership of the problems in front of us. You’ll be joining a growing Operations & Risk function and will work alongside people with deep experience across credit, operations and financial services.
