Risk and Real Estate Specialist

About the role

The Risk and Real Estate Specialist manages the corporate office facility, serves as the primary liaison with Landlord and property management, oversees routine maintenance, and assists with real estate and risk management projects across the HF Sinclair corporate enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day facilities function for corporate office.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety/loss control issues and address any issues promptly.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute office moves, relocations, and renovations while minimizing disruptions to operations.
• Manage space planning and allocation, analyzing space requirements and implementing strategies for optimal utilization of office space.
• Review enterprise leases and contracts to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
• Coordinate cost allocation of all premiums, claim payments, claim handling fees, legal fees, third party administration fees, and insurance premium audits.
• Aid in corporate insurance renewals.
• Coordinate bond placement and renewals, certificates of insurance, and automobile identification cards.
• Aid in the design, development, and implementation of risk management programs and coordinate and maintain the program and systems to mitigate and monitor risk as well as the cost of risk.
• Assist with special assignments or tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience working in a corporate setting.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to successfully negotiate with all internal client levels, external counterparties, and personalities.
• Relevant computer knowledge and experience.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail oriented; proven ability to work in a complex environment with multiple priorities and projects while maintaining a high stress tolerance.
• Proficient in planning and organizing, and monitoring information.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Experience in the Corporate Real Estate or Risk Management/Insurance.
• Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility.
