Risk Adjustment Coordinator - San Diego (TEMP)

About the Role
The Risk Adjustment Coordinator is responsible for communicating with providers and providing services to a wide range of internal and external contacts. Anticipates and resolves problems, updates manager on status of projects, and supports the team.
Responsibilities
- Contact and collect medical records documentation for coders, either onsite from provider’s offices or via EMR access.
- Collect and summarize meeting minutes.
- Coordinate office activities such as scheduling meetings for internal/external stakeholders and provider visits.
- Prepare reports for meetings (weekly, monthly, or quarterly as needed).
- Distribute E-Fax.
- Respond to emails and faxes specifically directed to the team.
- Create and update a monthly list for Active Members/Members Without Office Visit in the IPA folder.
- Receive and organize data from external sources.
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA principles, maintaining confidentiality of patient health information.
- Understand the principles of Risk Adjustment based on CMS standards.
- Communicate internally and externally to gather necessary data.
- Attend provider and interdepartmental calls, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Promote a positive working relationship between NMM, IPAs, and the health plan.
- Attend IPA and health plan meetings as required and respond to questions/inquiries in a timely manner.
- Perform duties in a professional manner, utilizing time and resources efficiently.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must value operating in a collaborative and cooperative environment.
- Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and multitasking skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and organize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, changing environment while meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to work independently, utilizing all available resources while staying within the boundaries of duties.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidence and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters.
- Must be able to travel up to 50% of work time.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EZCAP.
Pay
The national target pay range for this role is $20 - $26 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Schedule
This role follows a hybrid work structure with the expectation to work at home on a daily basis, including travel up to 50% of the time as needed in the surrounding areas within the Inland Empire.
