Right of Way Technician

Duties

• review of construction plans and title records
• preparing acquisition documents
• putting together the physical acquisition files
• processing acquisition files
• preparing vouchers
• mailing documents to county register of deeds office for recording
• communicating with county offices
• sending out land owner letters
• maintaining department records regarding work assignments
• necessary accounting records on improvements, relocations, and negotiated payments
• preparing applications for use of public land and Indian Trust lands
• compiling data for condemnation proceedings

Requirements

• A valid driver's license
• Most of the work is in a typical office environment with occasional field visits to project sites
• Limited overnight travel may be required
