Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing land and rights of way acquisition and permitting functions for new construction and operation projects within an assigned location.
  • Aid in developing preliminary pipeline routes, cost estimates, and schedules for projects.
  • Prepare reports related to easement rights, title updates, and landowner claims.
  • Prepare and negotiate legal agreements associated with real property.
  • Identify and acquire permits from private, local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Investigate, negotiate, settle, and issue checks for damage claims.
  • Represent Company in public meetings.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in the Right of Way industry.
  • Excellent working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, right of way policies, procedures, terminology, and right of way/real property acquisition policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
  • Very knowledgeable about property valuation, survey drawings, and alignments sheets.
  • Experience with acquisition & relocation documents, notices, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload, adjust to changing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to complete right-of-way transactions independently.
  • Ability to interpret alignment sheets and plats.
  • Must be able to perform land title research.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and customer-focused.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with others.
  • Exercises good judgment and handles confidential information.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate fully as a team player.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with the manager.
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Active TREC ROW license.
  • Valid DL for travel as required.

Skills
