Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing land and rights of way acquisition and permitting functions for new construction and operation projects within an assigned location.
- Aid in developing preliminary pipeline routes, cost estimates, and schedules for projects.
- Prepare reports related to easement rights, title updates, and landowner claims.
- Prepare and negotiate legal agreements associated with real property.
- Identify and acquire permits from private, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Investigate, negotiate, settle, and issue checks for damage claims.
- Represent Company in public meetings.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in the Right of Way industry.
- Excellent working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations, right of way policies, procedures, terminology, and right of way/real property acquisition policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of settlement instruments and contract terms.
- Very knowledgeable about property valuation, survey drawings, and alignments sheets.
- Experience with acquisition & relocation documents, notices, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to plan and organize workload, adjust to changing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Ability to complete right-of-way transactions independently.
- Ability to interpret alignment sheets and plats.
- Must be able to perform land title research.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and customer-focused.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with others.
- Exercises good judgment and handles confidential information.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate fully as a team player.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with the manager.
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Active TREC ROW license.
- Valid DL for travel as required.
Skills
