About the role
Cleveland Clinic Akron General is recruiting a Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join a collegial group of 3 full time physicians and 1 physician assistant.
Responsibilities
- outpatient rheumatology practice
- access to an infusion center for our patients
- good access to facilities with labs, radiology, physical therapy which are all useful to our patients
- support staff helping with prior authorizations for various drugs which is needed in Rheumatology
- work hours are Monday to Friday, in office only
- no inpatient consults
- see a variety of Rheumatic/autoimmune conditions
- involved in teaching residents at Cleveland clinic/Akron General
Requirements
Minimum salary: $243,500
Maximum salary: $335,000
Qualifications
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist
- Outpatient rheumatology practice experience
- Experience with infusion centers and prior authorization processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Teaching experience with residents
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong clinical skills
- Knowledge of rheumatology and autoimmune conditions
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively

- Short- and Long-term Disability Coverage – Short-term disability is available after one continuous year of regular full-time service; long-term disability begins after 90 days.
- Cleveland Clinic Investment Pension Plan offers eligible employees an excellent opportunity to build a retirement account for the future. It is fully funded by Cleveland Clinic and equal to 2.5% of your salary (increasing with more years of service).
