Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage autoimmune and inflammatory disorders including: Rheumatoid arthritis, Systemic lupus erythematosus, Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Gout and crystal arthropathies, Vasculitis and connective tissue diseases
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans including biologic and immunomodulatory therapies
- Perform joint injections and musculoskeletal assessments
- Collaborate with Primary Care, Orthopedics, Nephrology, Dermatology, and other specialties
- Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system
- Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of Internal Medicine residency (ACGME accredited)
- Completion of Rheumatology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Maine
- DEA registration
