RFuW Field Solutions Engineer - Seattle Area

About the role

Keysight is looking for an RF/uW Field Solutions Engineer to work closely with our field sales team to understand customer measurement challenges, demonstrate Keysight solutions, and enable our customers to be successful. Our application engineering organization is the premier technical pre/post sales support team in the electronics and communications industries. This position involves leading customer engagements from a technical perspective, owning the technical solution development, demonstration, proposal, and in some cases delivery, and creating demand for Keysight’s products and services through presentations, seminars, and demonstrations.

The candidate is expected to spend the majority of their time at customer sites in the greater Seattle area. This position is compensated by a 90% salary and 10% commission, yielding 100% target pay achievement at 100% of targeted sales, with higher commission rates once the target is exceeded.

Responsibilities

• Lead Keysight’s customer engagements from a technical perspective.
• Own the technical solution development, demonstration, proposal, and in some cases delivery.
• Team with sales professionals, industry solution teams, and other disciplines to develop and win complex opportunities.
• Create demand for Keysight’s products and services through presentations, seminars, and demonstrations.
• Develop and build long-term relationships and loyalty with customers as a resident expert while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• BSEE required or MSEE preferred, or equivalent education with emphasis in RF and microwave systems.
• 10 years of industry work experience desired; or equivalent education plus work experience.
• Understanding of RF and microwave test and measurement applications, with emphasis on vector network analysis and IQ modulation.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, Python, Matlab, C/C++.
• Experience with automating test equipment using modern programming languages.
• Passion for continuous learning.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with customers and internal teammates.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective presentation and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Background

• RF/uW/mmW communications systems and component test with modern VNAs, signal generators, and signal analyzers.
• Wireless communication standards such as 5G NR, 802.11, and LTE.
• Space and satellite communications and test systems.
• ORAN architecture and conformance tests.

Pay

Washington Pay Range:

• Minimum: $162,330.00
• Midpoint: $216,430.00
• Maximum: $270,540.00
