RF - STEP Academy Assistant (Undergraduate)
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support STEP students during Academy sessions.
- Aid professors with STEM classroom activities, demonstrations, and hands-on projects.
- Help students understand and apply STEM concepts through guided support and tutoring.
- Serve as an additional chaperone during off-campus field trips and enrichment events.
- Aid staff during student pick-up and drop-off procedures to ensure safety and organization.
- Support staff during lunchtime and transitions between sessions.
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth program operations.
Requirements
- Current undergraduate student at Farmingdale State College.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to be punctual, responsible, and engaged during program hours.
Qualifications
- Interest in STEM fields, youth programs, or education.
- Experience working with youths.

This is a part-time Research Foundation position. SALARY: $17.00/hour
