About the role
The Radio-Frequency Engineer supports the US Navy's Shipboard Electronic Systems Evaluation Facility (SESEF), a part of the Naval Sea Systems Command (Navsea). SESEF provides electromagnetic test and evaluation services for new and upgraded systems, validation of system performance after construction and overhaul, and real-time assessments of materiel readiness.
Responsibilities
- RF/Microwave/Communication system design/development
- Conduct test, evaluation, and data analysis of Communications, Electronic Warfare, Radar, SIGINT, and other electronic systems
- Aid in the design, test and evaluation, integration, and production of new RF systems
- Organize and conduct field surveys for testing instrumentation, equipment installations, technical surveillance, audits, and assessments
- Develop sustainment plans and test procedures to incorporate into new or current user manuals
- Participate in small-team projects and related activities related to new product development
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a US government security clearance
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
- Five (5) or more years of experience in electronics, RF engineering, communication systems, digital signal processing
- Understanding of RF test equipment (Signal analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, RF power meters, etc.)
- Experience installing or maintaining waveguide, low-loss coax cables, and antennas
- Exposure to design, repair, and analysis of electronic systems
- Exposure to C++ and Java software development
- Able to travel periodically to other test facilities across the US and overseas
- Able to obtain a US Passport

$80,000 - $110,000+
