RF Engineer II
Mercury Systems is seeking top talent to advance innovation in mission-critical aerospace and defense applications. This role supports the Engineering team by providing technical leadership to resolve issues during assembly, production testing, and integration of complex RF/Microwave products.
About the role
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration skills, working effectively with program management, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to support high-impact defense programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on product troubleshooting in manufacturing and development environments
- Work with engineers and technicians for offline asset reduction
- Assist with ongoing engineering development projects and product initiatives
- Support definition and implementation of producibility improvements
- Work with Lead Engineers on design updates
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with cross-functional product teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in High Reliability, Aerospace, or Defense Electronics product development and manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving skills within fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to collaborate and thrive in team-oriented settings
- Broad experience with RF/Microwave test equipment to test/troubleshoot RF/Microwave, analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits at the module and component level
- Ability to balance multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
- Active security clearance required on day one (U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- System level troubleshooting for digital, analog, and power circuits
- Experience with transfer to production of new or existing designs
- Familiarity with FPGA and Programmable Logic design
- Experience using data analysis tools such as MATLAB and simulation software (Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS)
- Experience in failure analysis/Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations
Pay
Salary ranges vary by location:
- $34,200.00 – $68,400.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD, or TX, and all remote employees
- $38,300.00 – $76,600.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH, or MA
- $40,400.00 – $80,700.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ
Base salary offers consider factors including role, responsibilities, prior experience, education, skills, certifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
