Responsibilities
- Provide service to callers regarding claims for multiple lines of business
- Analyze reported Family Medical Leave (FMLA) requests
- Process claims and determine benefits due pursuant to a disability plan
- Provide disability case management and claim determinations
- Career Team Representative: No specific duties listed
- Leave of Absence Coordinator: Administer FMLA and other unpaid state, military, and company-specific leave claims
- Disability Representative: Determine benefits due and make timely case decisions
- Sr Disability Representative: Manage disability case/claim management experience
- Benefit Liaison: Coordinate absence programs for specific clients
- Absence Management Team Lead: Supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) year of administrative/general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- State certification or licensing in statutory leaves is beneficial
- Knowledge of state and federal FMLA regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and interpretive skills
- Organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to exercise judgement in accordance with well-defined policies and procedures
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed performance competencies as required by program
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Licenses/Certifications: State certification or licensing in statutory leaves is beneficial
- Experience: One (1) year of administrative/general office experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
