Operations Associate - Investment Platform

About the role

The Operations Associate will play a crucial role in the daily operations of a forward-thinking investment platform, focusing on the tracking, valuation, and marking of alternative investments.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily tracking, valuation, and marking of alternative investments, including funds of funds, directors, and sports teams using NAV and IRR adjustments.
• Prepare founder’s daily net worth, P&L, and liquidity report for a multi-billion-dollar portfolio across all assets and liabilities.
• Generate quarterly tear sheets with fund performance metrics, historical data, and commentary using Burgiss MSCI tools.
• Reconcile trades, cash, and position differences with prime brokers across asset classes including CLOs and private trades.
• Support deal closings by reviewing allocations, verifying documents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating wire transfers.
• Maintain ongoing deal activity in internal systems, including accruals, paydowns, borrows, and participations.
• Enhance operational workflows by implementing tools such as Duco, Burgiss, Jira, and Canoe.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1 - 3 years of experience in investment operations, fund accounting, or a similar role within financial services.
• Strong understanding of alternative investments and general knowledge of capital activity (NAV, IRR, P&L).
• Proficiency with Excel; experience with tools such as Burgiss, Duco, Jira, Canoe, or similar platforms is a plus.
