Rewinder

Primary Responsibilities

• Rolls reel to jack from staging area and place in jack
• Strings wire through rewinder machine
• Operates machine to control speed of reel
• Guides wire onto new reel to ensure correct placement
• Maintains accurate inspection logs and reel labels
• Marks processes & controls to assure quality
• Places completed reel in designated location
• Uses and reads micrometers to measure wire
• Completes paperwork, record and enter data
• Communicates with supervisors & associates

  Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent

  Minimum Experience Required

  • Entry level

  Licenses and/or Certifications Required

  Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

  • Ability to follow plant work rules, work instructions, safety rules and established processes, procedures & practices
  • Maintains cleanliness of area
  • Uses of tools including wire cutters, pliers, wrenches, hammer, micrometers, and computer
  • Reads and understands manufacturing instructions

  Computer Equipment and Software Requirements

  • Computer literate
