Responsibilities
- Assists with machine setup, prepares machinery for operation, loads materials, and adjusts settings as directed by the primary operator.
- Supplies raw material or components specific to the rewinder machine as needed, ensuring a steady flow of materials to maintain efficient production levels.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment by removing debris or waste materials.
- Monitors rewinder machine operations, observes the machine during operation, and notifies the primary operator or supervisor of any issues or malfunctions.
- Trains and assists with routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts, adjusting machine settings, or other standard practices to ensure proper operation of the machine and to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoots minor technical issues, performs minor repairs or adjustments under the guidance of the primary operator or maintenance personnel.
- Completes production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes, including but not limited to, production output, machine downtime, or any maintenance or repair activities.
- Works effectively with other departments or team members including maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, supervisors, customer service, or any other members of the production team as directed by supervisors.
- Uses forklift/clamp trucks to transport product.
- May need to get on and off equipment, stairs, and use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Qualifications
- Ability to fill-in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes, or as necessary.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures, reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
- Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies.
- Completes production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes.
- Effectively works with other departments or team members including maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, supervisors, customer service, or any other members of the production team as directed by supervisors.
