About the role
Brook + Whittle is one of North America’s leading manufacturers of pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, flexible packaging, and heat transfer labels. We are seeking an innovative and dynamic individual to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Effectively perform machine operations – converting post-press product into finished product by following job ticket instructions.
- Accurately setup press machines to specific customer requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring that machines are operating efficiently while producing product that conforms to quality standards.
- Perform and document quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
- Retrieve cores, boxes, and other supplies and materials for the machine and daily operation.
- Inspect equipment for defects and perform maintenance duties as necessary.
- Able to read and understand written instructions and job tickets, as well as comprehend verbal instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Safely and efficiently perform all essential job functions in accordance with company policies and operating procedures.
- Participate in department meetings, training, and continuous improvement events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of printing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and machine experience required.
- Strong math skills and understanding of metric and standard measurements/conversions.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Detail-oriented and capable of following standard work instructions.
- Ability to learn quickly and adopt new technologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Operate safely and efficiently while producing high quality work.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively with a team.
Qualifications
- Competency in reading and understanding written instructions and job tickets.
- Ability to comprehend verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, reaching, standing for 8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs., pushing/pulling skids of product using a pallet jack, and reaching above shoulder height to remove items from shelving units.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Hours are typically 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday.
