Revit Modeler / Drafter

About the Role

Davenergy Solutions is a rapidly growing, profitable company headquartered in San Diego, CA. We are seeking a full-time Revit Modeler/Drafter to join our dynamic and growing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering consulting team. The role involves creating and editing MEP Revit and CAD files for design projects and supporting project closeout as-builts.

Responsibilities

• Create a functioning BIM/Revit model of new design projects within existing facilities.
• Create and revise MEP Revit Models or CAD files in support of MEP design projects within existing facilities.
• Perform on-site CAD verification and site walks.
• Consolidate existing as-built documentation and create a working Revit model.
• Ensure all files conform with client Revit/CAD standards, including title block, plotting style (CTB file), layers, line types (LIN file), symbols, scaling, and annotation/text formatting and naming standards.
• Perform piping, ductwork, or electrical sizing and coordinate with architectural, structural, and fire protection sub-consultants.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, equivalent certification, or a 2-year Associate/Drafter certification.
• 5 years of CAD experience and a minimum of 1 year of BIM/Revit experience.
• Proven experience working in and updating Revit/BIM files containing up to several hundred files and cross-references.
• Ability to use various software programs to update and produce work products by computer.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to clear background security investigations for contractors in accordance with VA Directive and Handbook 0710, Personnel Suitability and Security Program.
