Revit Design Technician

About the role

Seeking a highly skilled Autodesk Revit Specialist with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to support a Digital Delivery team. This role focuses on maximizing Revit's capabilities, improving workflows, supporting customization, and optimizing platform functionality. This is not strictly a design role. The ideal candidate is a true Revit power user who understands the ins and outs of the platform, including its advanced features and customization capabilities. Location: Kansas City, MO - Onsite (must be able to work onsite five days per week).

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on within Autodesk Revit to support digital delivery initiatives.
• Maximize the utilization of Revit's existing tools, features, and advanced functionalities.
• Create, modify, and customize Revit families and components.
• Support Revit customization based on client and project requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams and internal stakeholders to improve workflows and platform utilization.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot Revit-related challenges and provide technical support to internal teams.
• Support engineering and design teams in leveraging Revit's full capabilities.

Skills

• 3–5 years of professional, hands-on Autodesk Revit experience.
• Advanced Revit proficiency, including family creation, customization, and advanced platform functionalities.
• Strong understanding of Revit beyond basic drafting, modeling, or design.
• Experience optimizing Revit workflows and troubleshooting platform-related challenges.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to work onsite in Kansas City five days per week.
• Architectural or engineering background highly preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and digital design delivery preferred.
• Experience supporting substation, EPC, industrial, or similar engineering projects is a plus.
• Open to candidates with nontraditional backgrounds who demonstrate advanced hands-on Revit expertise.
