About the role
The Quality Assurance and Regulation Directorate (QARD) within Healthcare Improvement Scotland undertakes a range of inspection, regulation and review activities in a planned and proactive manner to provide public assurance on safety and quality of care across the whole of Scotland. Our work is varied and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can work effectively as part of a highly effective, multi-disciplinary team within our Reviews function.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of a range of reviews programmes.
- Work flexibly to meet changing demands in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Lead multidisciplinary review teams to identify, analyse and evaluate practices, systems and policies across a range of complex national programs, adapting plans if needed.
- Communicate complex, sensitive and sometimes contentious information in a clear unambiguous manner to a wide variety of external stakeholders in relation to quality assurance activities.
Requirements
- Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in a relevant subject such as healthcare, public health, data analysis, health and care service delivery.

Skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary review teams.
