About the Role

We are currently seeking a Lead Analyst Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence (COE). This position is based at our North American HQ in Beachwood, OH with hybrid work available.

Position Overview

The Revenue Recognition COE Lead Analyst ensures accurate US GAAP (ASC 606) revenue recognition for organizational arrangements. This role handles complex revenue accounting, including contract review, monthly close, and journal entries, while maintaining compliance with company policies and SOX controls and supporting process and system improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post revenue-related journal entries in compliance with ASC 606.
  • Support and coordinate contract review and identify performance obligations for standard and non-standard arrangements.
  • Partner with the business and operations finance teams to determine percent complete/milestones and project margins to ensure accurately and timely recognition.
  • Reconcile revenue subledger to the general ledger and investigate variances.
  • Support monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain documentation for SOX controls and assist in audit requests.
  • Ensure adherence to company revenue recognition policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Accounting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in public accounting or accounting corporate roles. CPA or equivalent.

Soft Skills

  • Working knowledge of ASC 606 principles and application; strong technical accounting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and revenue automation tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and process automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and revenue automation tools.
  • Advanced proficiency with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and process automation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Requires the ability to be flexible, adaptable and to deal with ambiguity and change.
  • 10% travel required.
