About the role
Epiphany Dermatology, based in Austin, TX, is a rapidly growing dermatology services company aiming to enhance access to dermatology services and deliver exceptional patient care in underserved markets across the U.S. We are seeking a self-motivated Revenue Operations Training Specialist to contribute to our mission.
Responsibilities
- Drives Epiphany Operational Standards within the region and develops action plans to improve performance in collaboration with Revenue Cycle Management.
- Onboards and trains all new front office teammates within the region, ensuring competency.
- Participates in implementation training for acquisition clinics.
- Assists in developing action plans and strategies for addressing deficiencies in meeting the Epiphany Operational Standards, Policies and Procedures.
- Provides support and development for the region.
- Serves as a leader, providing coaching to teammates in the region to foster growth and drive excellence.
- Supports the Revenue Cycle with other duties as assigned.
- Explains the claims processing and explanation of benefits effectively and professionally.
- Provides exceptional customer service skills even during trying situations when a patient or customer is frustrated, staying calm and maintaining a friendly manner in difficult situations.
- Exhibits an understanding of state and federal billing and follow-up regulations as it relates to Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Commercial Insurance companies.
- Prepares, reviews, and transmits claims using billing software.
- Processes Insurance overpayments and Patient refunds in a timely fashion in accordance with company policy as well as government guidelines/regulations.

- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks, following through to completion.
Qualifications/Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One (1) year related experience and/or training in billing or one year of employment at Epiphany Dermatology; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1) year of employment with Epiphany Dermatology.
- One (1) year of EMA experience required.
- Completion of Front Office Preceptor Program (completion required within first week).
- Mohs, cosmetics, and general dermatology experience highly preferred.
- Two years billing experience is highly preferred.
