Revenue Operations Analyst, Partnerships
About the role
Aura is seeking a dynamic team player to join our team in a new role that combines data analytics, revenue accounting, and business partnership. As part of our mission to drive consistent growth in our partner revenue channel, this position will play a critical role in aligning partner analytics with accurate revenue forecasting and GAAP-compliant reporting. The Revenue Operations Analyst, Partnerships will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the revenue process for our rapidly expanding partner channel, ensuring accurate partner billing, analytics, and reporting.
Reporting to the Director of Partner Revenue Operations, the ideal candidate will bring strong data analytics expertise and a collaborative spirit to a role that offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Aura’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Transform source data into a usable format for monthly billing, revenue recognition, and forecasting purposes.
- Ensure enrollment numbers used in Employee Benefits/Partner business forecasts are aligned with source customer enrollment counts and actual enrollment counts used by Revenue Accounting for GAAP purposes.
- Own the ongoing health of the billing engine: perform regular QA on Python/SQL logic, monitor for discrepancies, and troubleshoot issues as they arise in production.
- Debug and fix existing billing engine code to resolve identified issues, ensuring minimal disruption to partner invoicing and downstream revenue reporting.
- Design and implement new invoicing logic and billing flows to support evolving contract structures, new partner types, or business requirements.
- Assist in ad hoc projects and system integrations as a subject matter expert for the Partner Revenue Operations team.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of progressive experience in data analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python—ability to query and manipulate large datasets efficiently.
- Experience with Databricks—familiarity with data engineering and analytics in a cloud environment.
- Experience building data logic/pipelines, including designing new invoicing flows.
- Ability to translate business/contract requirements into technical logic, working iteratively with stakeholders to validate assumptions.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking—ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and insights in financial data.
- Solid financial background—knowledge of financial statements, basic accounting principles, and tax implications.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills—ability to ensure data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies.
- BA/BS in Analytics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a similar field of study.
Nice to have
- Experience with billing processes and system integrations/implementations.
- Understanding of revenue recognition, invoicing, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with Zuora, NetSuite, Salesforce, Avalara (or a similar sales tax engine).
- Understanding of subscription and usage-based billing, and financial systems.

Pay
Pay range for this position is $75,000–$90,000, but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
Schedule
This position is remote, but candidates must be US-based.
