Responsibilities
- Verifying insurance information and ensuring accuracy
- Assigning appropriate medical codes for services rendered
- Submitting insurance claims promptly
- Monitoring payment processes and following up on outstanding accounts
- Maintaining HIPAA compliance throughout all billing activities
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in medical billing and coding
- Certification such as CPC or CPB
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and billing software
