About the role
Revenue Cycle Specialist manages all aspects of billing and claims processing to ensure accurate revenue collection, supporting patient and insurance interactions with professionalism and empathy.
Responsibilities
- Handle insurance billing, claims follow-up, collections, and patient billing
- Review accounts for accuracy
- Monitor accounts receivable
- Investigate denied claims and discrepancies
- Process payments promptly
- Communicate effectively with patients and carriers
- Generate performance reports
- Stay updated on billing codes and compliance
- Identify process improvements
- Support team training
- Ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications & Skills
- Preferred associate degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years dental or healthcare billing
- Knowledge of dental terminology, CDT codes, and relevant software (e.g., Open Dental, Excel)
- Highly detail‑oriented, organized, patient‑focused communicator
