Revenue cycle specialist

Affinity Med Solutions is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Medical Biller with a strong background in orthopedic billing to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, enjoys solving complex billing issues, and takes pride in maximizing reimbursement while providing exceptional service to our physician clients.

Responsibilities

• Submit and manage insurance claims from start to finish
• Follow up on unpaid and underpaid claims
• Research and resolve claim denials
• Communicate with insurance carriers regarding reimbursement issues
• Work closely with our team to maximize collections for orthopedic providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely claim resolution

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of orthopedic medical billing experience (required)
• Extensive knowledge of commercial insurance billing, claim submission, payment posting, and accounts receivable follow-up
• Experience with out-of-network billing preferred
• Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding, modifiers, and payer-specific billing guidelines
• Experience with appeals, denials, and insurance follow-up
• Familiarity with surgery and orthopedic procedures is highly desirable
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Experience

• Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) and No Surprises Act knowledge is a plus (training available for the right candidate)
• Experience working with high-volume orthopedic or ambulatory surgery practices
