Responsibilities
- Direct daily revenue cycle activities from claim submission through payment reconciliation and account follow-up to support timely reimbursement.
- Supervise and mentor revenue cycle staff, including distributed team members, while setting clear expectations and encouraging strong performance.
- Evaluate existing workflows, uncover inefficiencies, and introduce process enhancements that improve accuracy, turnaround times, and cash collections.
- Track key revenue metrics such as accounts receivable aging, denial trends, reimbursement outcomes, and claim acceptance rates to guide decision-making.
- Maintain adherence to payer guidelines and healthcare regulations by reinforcing compliant billing and collection practices.
- Partner with leadership to support the onboarding of newly added practice locations and align revenue cycle operations across sites.
- Step in to resolve escalated billing issues, remove workflow barriers, and provide hands-on support when operational challenges arise.
- Build reporting routines and accountability measures that give leaders clear visibility into team productivity and financial outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with a strong background in healthcare billing operations.
- Prior experience leading billing or revenue cycle teams and managing performance across day-to-day operations.
- Background working in a multi-site healthcare setting, with the ability to support consistency across several locations.
- Strong knowledge of medical billing, claims processing, payment posting, and collection practices.
- Demonstrated success improving workflows, strengthening operational efficiency, and supporting scalable processes.
- Hands-on leadership style with strong judgment, follow-through, and a practical approach to solving problems.
- Able to analyze revenue data, interpret performance metrics, and manage complex billing-related calculations.
- Familiarity with provider network dynamics and healthcare reimbursement processes; dental industry experience is helpful but not required.
