Director of Revenue Cycle DRAR ...NCR ...DNFB Some people see acronyms. You see cash flow. If those mean more to you than alphabet soup, we should talk. Haxtun Health is looking for a Director of Revenue Cycle who understands that sending a claim and getting paid are two very different accomplishments. We're looking for someone who can see the story behind the numbers, spot where revenue is getting stuck, build processes that actually work, and lead a team toward better results. If clean claims make you strangely happy, aging AR makes you curious, and a denial trend makes you start asking questions, you may have found your people. What You'll Be Doing You'll lead Revenue Cycle and Business Office operations across Haxtun Health, with responsibility for the performance of the revenue cycle from patient access through final payment. That Means You'll Keep a close eye on the KPIs that matter, including DRAR, NCR, denial rate, clean claims, AR over 90, DNFB, bad debt, and patient collections, while understanding how Revenue Cycle contributes to the organization's overall financial health.Lead and develop a Revenue Cycle team with clear expectations, good tools, practical workflows, and accountability.Dig into denials, aging AR, work queues, billing performance, and charge capture and address issues before they become expensive problems.Turn data into action by identifying trends, finding root causes, and leading improvements that actually stick.Work across clinical, financial, credentialing, and administrative teams because Revenue Cycle definitely does not happen in one office.Oversee contracted Revenue Cycle services and make sure we're getting the accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and results we're paying for.Keep our CFO informed about performance, risks, barriers, progress, and opportunities. Wanted: someone who knows the difference between sending a claim and getting paid. What You'll Bring We're looking for someone with strong hospital Revenue Cycle knowledge and the leadership skills to go with it. Ideally, you'll bring five or more years of progressively responsible experience in Revenue Cycle, Business Office, or patient financial services operations, along with supervisory or management experience. Hospital experience is strongly preferred, and rural healthcare experience is a definite plus. A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Most importantly, you can move comfortably between people, processes, and numbers. You know how to find the problem, explain it clearly, build a solution, and follow through. The Good Stuff We know benefits aren't exactly riveting reading, so here are the highlights: Health Insurance Haxtun Health pays 100% of the employee-only premium on all of our health plans and contributes toward spouse, child, and family coverage. New employees are automatically enrolled at 1% and may opt out. Full vesting occurs after five years. We Put Our Money Where Our Healthcare Is Haxtun Health matches employee payments for services received at our hospital and clinics, up to $1,000 per year per family. Colorado FAMLI Up to 12 weeks of paid leave for qualifying life events through Colorado's FAMLI program. Life Insurance Employer-paid term life insurance equal to 1x annual salary, up to $200,000, with additional voluntary employee and family coverage available. And There's More Employee Assistance Program, MASA medical transport coverage, employee purchasing, 529 college savings, long-term disability, accidental death & dismemberment, and voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospitalization coverage. Big Work. Small Town. Pretty Great Combination. Haxtun Health is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving Haxtun and the surrounding communities of northeast Colorado. We're big enough to offer hospital, primary care, long-term care, rehabilitation, specialty care, wellness, and pharmacy services, but small enough that your work doesn't disappear into twelve layers of organizational charts. Here, you'll know the people you're working with. You'll have direct access to leadership. And you'll see the impact of the changes you make. Haxtun itself is the kind of community where small town actually means community. If you're looking for endless traffic, anonymous neighbors, and a 45-minute commute to travel six miles, we're probably not your place. If you're looking for room to breathe, people who know one another, and the opportunity to do meaningful work for an organization that matters to the community it serves... We should talk.
