Revenue Advisory Lead
What You’ll Do
- Own day-to-day execution of revenue accounting processes, including POC calculations, revenue journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close deliverables
- Perform detailed revenue analysis and variance reporting; proactively identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks and bring findings to the Revenue Controller with context and recommended next steps
- Prepare and organize audit support and technical documentation for all revenue-related audit requests, serving as a key contributor during audit cycles
- Support the preparation of revenue reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
- Liaise with business teams on revenue-related questions, applying sound judgment to align commercial activity with appropriate accounting treatment
- Actively contribute to the maintenance and improvement of revenue processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and accuracy
- Execute control monitoring, testing, and documentation activities for revenue processes and support remediation efforts
- Assist in the research and documentation of technical accounting positions under ASC 606 as needed
- Support ad hoc revenue projects, analysis, and policy documentation
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA is a plus
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct exposure to revenue recognition
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and US GAAP, with the ability to apply standards to moderately complex transactions
- Experience with project accounting, percentage-of-completion accounting, multiple performance obligation arrangements, or other complex ASC 606 environments preferred
- Experience supporting or contributing to audit processes, including preparation of workpapers and documentation
- Familiarity with internal controls frameworks and hands-on experience in control documentation or testing
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail; proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems required
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage cross-functionally and translate accounting concepts for non-finance audiences
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage recurring deadlines and competing priorities independently
Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $80,000 - $110,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law.
