Lead Revenue Accountant
About The Role
We are looking for a Revenue Accountant to own our revenue operations and technical accounting. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will lead ASC 606 implementation, manage month-end close, and ensure our financial systems are audit-ready. This is a remote-first role for a self-motivated professional who can bridge the gap between complex GAAP standards and scalable business processes.
You Will Own the end-to-end revenue function, ensuring including ASC 606 implementation and ongoing compliance, drafting and maintaining technical accounting memos and policies and accurate financial reporting. Manage the close process for revenue, deferred revenue, and AR, including reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis. Support the design and testing of Quote-to-Cash initiatives to improve scalability. Act as the primary contact for external auditors and manage indirect tax compliance. Serve as the go-to SME for revenue and AR questions across the organization, maintaining clear process documentation.
About You
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Accounting (specifically ASC 606 and ASC 326).
- Deep understanding of the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle and a track record of driving process improvements.
- Proven ability to identify issues and automate solutions in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills to influence change across departments.
- Nice to Have: Background in high-growth SaaS or startups. Advanced data proficiency and experience with mainstream ERPs/Revenue Engines. Ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business insights.
Pay
Compensation Range: $150K - $170K
