About the role
This is a newly created leadership role where you'll serve as the ASC 606 subject matter expert, partner closely with executive finance leadership, and help support a company entering its next phase of expansion following successful commercialization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex collaboration, partnership, and customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment and disclosures under ASC 606.
- Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and SOX-compliant controls for revenue and accounts receivable cycles.
- Partner with FP&A and operational teams to support input-method revenue recognition, resource forecasting, and audit-ready documentation.
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, commercial revenue accounting, and SEC disclosure support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 5+ years of accounting experience; Big4 experience required.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, contract accounting, and complex close processes.
- Proven ability to communicate technical accounting guidance to cross-functional stakeholders and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in revenue recognition and contract accounting under ASC 606.
- Experience with financial reporting, particularly SEC filings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $130,000 to $145,000 per year.
