Responsibilities
- Provide analysis and feedback on monthly delinquency reporting for assigned districts nationwide.
- Analyze delinquent balances for past resident accounts and communicate findings to the Customer Care Department.
- Maintain insurance related accounting including but not limited to general ledger activity and resident ledger activity.
- Track expenses related to insurance claim damages and ensure accurate coding.
- Monitor balances on the national subrogation log and transfer balances to resident accounts.
- Complete daily and monthly reconciliations and account analyses as assigned.
- Review project company revenue financials and reconcile discrepancies.
- Perform other related duties including ad hoc reporting and projects as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Four years accounting experience and bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Property management industry experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency in MS Office Word, intermediate Excel, and Outlook (Yardi experience preferred but not required).
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment. Flexibility is important.
- Strong attention to detail is critical.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be able to obtain military base access.
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Must be able to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings and other work-related activities.
